2024 Occhipinti, Terre Siciliane IGT, SP68 Rosso Region_Nahe and wet flintSP68 is named after the country road that runs past Occhipintis home vineyard in Vittoria, and its meant to be the most direct read of her farming. The fruit comes from organic vines on chalky, sandy soils, planted to Frappato and Nero dAvola. Fermented with native yeasts in concrete, about 2 weeks of maceration, then aged ~6 months in concrete, bottled unfiltered with low sulfur. No oak, no shapingjust fruit and site.
